Emily Anderson, Counseling Intern, Glendale & Online

Emily is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University and has earned her undergraduate degree from Kent State University. She is passionate about working with individuals, navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, and strives to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences. Emily values authenticity, empathy, and meeting clients where they are, and she is especially interested in approaches such as DBT and trauma-informed care. Outside of her clinical work, Emily enjoys baking, creative projects, and spending time with her cat, Olive, who reminds her about the importance of comfort, presence, and connection. These parts of her life contribute to her warm, relational approach to counseling. She is excited to continue learning and growing as she supports clients in their therapeutic journey.
